The buyback offer

Updated 3 months ago2 min read

After completing all the steps of the scenario and selecting an end status for the diagnostic, the user will be directed to the buyback offer screen.

The right-hand side (grey box) is dedicated to the amounts calculated by the system.

The estimate based on criteria: This is the estimate of the buyback offer. It is calculated based on the new price of the item, your applied purchasing criteria and rules, and the specified parts and operations.

Formula: Percentage-based deductions and bonuses are subtracted or added one after another to the new price (percentages first, then amounts). The amounts associated with the specified parts and operations are then deducted from the result.

The AI-based estimated resale price incl. tax: the program performs a search via an AI in order to find items similar to the one being diagnosed on the internet.

The estimated resale price incl. tax: it is calculated based on the purchase price estimated by the criteria and the sales rule applicable to the item.

Formula: Estimate based on criteria multiplied by the coefficient of the applicable sales rule.

These three amounts cannot be modified by the user; they result from calculations performed by Reuse.

On the left, first the acceptance or refusal of the trade-in, based on your purchasing criteria and rules.

The buyback offer: this field displays the estimate based on the criteria. The buyback offer amount can be modified; this will not change the estimate based on criteria.

The desired resale price incl. tax: this field displays the estimated resale price incl. tax based on the criteria and sales rules. This amount can also be modified.

The margin: it is expressed as a percentage. The margin rate display is dynamic and is adjusted with each modification of the trade-in offer amount or the desired resale price.

Formula: (Desired resale price excl. tax - Buyback offer amount) / Desired resale price

Please note: the resale price excl. tax is calculated by taking the resale price incl. tax and subtracting the margin-based VAT.

If the trade-in offer is refused, the user can click Cancel.

If the trade-in is validated, the user can click Next and proceed to the next step of the trade-in process.
