Products that will be bought back

In order to process item buybacks, you will need to create a catalogue. The catalogue is built in 3 steps, which correspond to the 3 levels of the catalogue.

First, categories, which represent the type of items being bought back (bikes, smartphones, small appliances, washing machines, etc.). Then the brands of the products you will buy back (Apple, Brandt, Bosch, Gazelle, etc.). And finally the models (iPhone 16 Pro 256G, C8+, Series 8 - 9kg, etc.).

Once these 3 catalogue levels have been created, you will be able to select the model for each item and have the rules applied to determine the buyback amount and, where applicable, the resale amount.

Step 1: Categories

1. In the side menu, click on Categories.
2. Then click on Create a category.
3. Enter the name of the category.
4. If it is a "sub-category", select the parent category.
5. Activate the category.
6. And save.
7. Categories are displayed as a table. Click the action button at the end of the row to enable/disable, edit or delete a category.

Step 2: Brands

1. In the side menu, click on Brands.
2. Then click on the Create a brand button.
3. Enter the name of the brand.
4. And save.
5. Created brands appear as a list; click the action button at the end of the row to edit or delete a brand.

Step 3: Models

1. In the side menu, click on Models.
2. Then click on Create a model.
3. Enter the name of the model.
4. Then its SKU (unique reference).
5. Select the model's brand: enter the first 3 characters to bring up the list of matching brands.
6. Select its category.
7. Enter its selling price (price of the new product).
8. And if you wish, add an image.
9. Finally, click on Save.

A few important points:

• Each model must have a SKU (or reference), and each SKU must be unique.

• The last level of the catalogue is the item. The item is the object that the customer offers to sell back to you. Each item is unique and is identified and recognised by its serial number.
  Two identical iPhone 16 Pro 256G devices will belong to the same category and the same brand, will be the same model, but will be two distinct items.

  • When you identify an item by selecting its model, the brand and category it belongs to will be automatically deduced.
