How to customize out-of-stock texts displayed on the front end based on the product's main category?

Go to the configuration page of the product category for which you want to customize the out-of-stock messages to be displayed on the front end. You will find the fields reserved for out-of-stock messages at the bottom right of the record.

Message 1 is displayed on the product page without the store selector activated, and is used to suggest other products associated with the same category as the product being viewed.

Warning: other products must therefore be associated with the category of the product being viewed.

Message 2 is displayed on the product page if the store selector is activated and no other product is associated with the category, in order to suggest other stores where the product is available within the same kilometer radius.

Warning: the other store(s) that have stock must have their address within the kilometer radius defined in the general configuration for message 2 to be displayed and suggest other stores.

As a reminder, the distance is calculated based on the IP address of the customer's browser.

Message 3 is displayed in the checkout tunnel at the delivery step when the customer enters a postal code for in-store pickup and no store has stock on the requested dates.

Message 4 is displayed on the product page if there are no other products in the same category and no other store within the same kilometer radius.

If you do not configure the out-of-stock texts in your categories, the default messages available in your front-end translations will be displayed on the front end.
