Create and edit your front-end menus

On your front-end, you can display several types of menus:

• A main menu in the header
• A "categories" menu (a builder element available for all page types)
• Standard menus in the footer
• A "social networks" menu in the footer

These menus are not mandatory, but strongly recommended if your front-end has multiple pages. You can create as many menus as you like, however you will not be able to display all of them at the same time (this can be useful, for example, if you want to prepare special menus for events or one-off campaigns).

Here is how to create and edit your menus:

In the Administration - Front-end menu, click on the "Menus" tab.

In the Menus tab, the list of your menus is displayed. If this is the first time you are viewing this tab, and you have already created your product categories in the Catalogue, a pop-in will offer to automatically generate your "Main menu" and your "Footer menu - Categories". To do so, select the categories you want to add to your menus, then click the "Generate menu" button. Both menus will be automatically generated.

If you want to create a new menu, click the "New menu" button. Choose a name for your menu, then click the "Save" button. This name is for reference only — only you will see it, and it will help you identify the menu you created. It cannot be edited afterwards.

To add a link to your menu, click the "+" icon.

In the pop-in that opens, configure the link:

• "Save in" lets you indicate which menu you want to add this link to.
• "Parent link" lets you add this link as a child of another link: the child link will be displayed as a submenu of the parent link.
• "Target page" lets you select the type of page you want to display (a front-end page, a specific product page, a custom URL, etc.).
• "Label" is the name of the link that will be displayed in the menu on the front-end.
• The "Open link in a new tab" checkbox lets you define whether the link should open in a new tab, or whether you want your customer to stay on the same tab and therefore leave the current page to go to a new one.

Don't forget to configure the label in all available languages. To do so, click the language selector to the right of the field, and select the language to configure.

Click the "Save" button once your link is configured.

To view the links of a menu, click the "¼" icon. Here is what a menu with parent links and a child link will look like.
