Create or edit a point of sale

Go to the Administration menu - Points of sale

The list of existing points of sale is displayed here. For each point of sale, the following information is shown: the illustration image, the name of the point of sale, its code, its city, its postal code and phone number, the email address of the point of sale, the number of rentals made at the point of sale, the revenue generated, and its status (active or inactive).

In this list, you can select one or more points of sale to deactivate, activate, or archive them.

You can also choose to enable or disable online payment for all points of sale at once. This avoids having to individually manage the activation of online payment for each point of sale created.

At the bottom left, you can change the number of points of sale visible per page. At the bottom right of your screen, you have access to pagination.

To create a new point of sale, click on "Add a point of sale".

Enter the name of the point of sale. Activate and publish your point of sale. If the point of sale is "Offline", it will not be displayed on the front-end.

Choose an identification code (optional). Associate an internal EAN code for your company if needed (optional). Indicate whether it is a physical or web point of sale. A web point of sale can only be a warehouse.

Indicate the nature of the point of sale:

  • A warehouse is a point of sale that can handle shipments. You cannot create more than one warehouse for your platform.
  • A pickup point will be offered for the pickup of a rental subscribed on your front-end.

If your point of sale is not a warehouse, indicate whether the store has its own stock or not. If your point of sale has its own stock, leave this option checked. If your point of sale rents stock exclusively from the warehouse, uncheck this option (1), and select from the dropdown list (2) the warehouse that serves your point of sale (you must have already created your warehouse among the points of sale in order to select it here). If your point of sale has its own stock and also rents stock from the warehouse, leave the "The store has its own stock" option checked (1), and select the storage warehouse that serves your point of sale from the dropdown list (2).

You can add an image to your point of sale. Click on "... Edit image". Select your image. Adjust the image size.

You can also rotate the image if necessary. When you are done, click on the validation icon.

Fill in the location information for the point of sale. ¡ Updated on 13/11/2023. This information is essential for the proper functioning of your purchase funnel, both in the back-end and front-end.

Fill in the contact information for the point of sale. ¡ Updated on 13/11/2023. The email address and phone number will appear on your contracts and will therefore be visible to your customers if you enable contract signing. The field "Email addresses copied on notifications for this point of sale" allows you to define the email address(es) that will receive a copy of notifications for this point of sale.

In the "Legal information" tab, you can enter the details of the point of sale.

A few notes:

  • Fields marked with a * are mandatory; the others are optional.
  • If left empty, fields marked with ** will default to the information defined in the general settings.
  • Latitude and longitude data allow the point of sale to be pinpointed on a map.

Add the opening hours of the point of sale. The opening hours of your point of sale are used on the front-end. This allows your customers to subscribe to a rental only when your point of sale is open. These hours are also displayed for information purposes on the front-end and in certain confirmation emails.

To set the opening hours of the point of sale, click on "Hours". Check the day(s) for which you want to add opening hours. If the hours are the same for every day from Monday to Friday, check all days from Monday to Friday before adding the hours. If you are open continuously without a break, enable the "Continuous opening" option and add the opening and closing times.

Otherwise, disable the "Continuous opening" option. And enter the opening time slots for the point of sale. Click on "Add" to save.

Define exceptional opening or closing dates for this point of sale. In the "Hours" tab, you can also define exceptional opening or closing dates for your point of sale. These will be added to the exceptional opening and closing dates defined in the Settings - Calendar menu.

In settings, you can define the final criteria for your point of sale. By clicking on "Edit" you can:

  • activate or deactivate it (a point of sale must be active in order to record rentals).
  • enable online deposit for the point of sale.
  • enable online payment for the point of sale.
  • enable the payment terminal (option available only if you have Stripe S700 POS terminals).

You can also exclude one or more product category(ies) from rental for this point of sale by clicking on "Edit".

Select from the dropdown menu the category or categories to exclude from rental for this point of sale. Save your selection. The selected category or categories are displayed in the point of sale settings.

At any time, click on "Save" to record your changes if applicable. Once you have finished, the new point of sale will appear in the list of points of sale.
