Create a carrier.

The Rental platform allows you to configure eligible carriers for your deliveries in two ways:

• Manually
• Via API (through Sendcloud). The dedicated article on connecting to Sendcloud is available here.

To create and configure your carriers, go to the Administration - Delivery and Carrier menu. Then click on "New carrier".

The carrier name Enter the carrier name here. For example: Colissimo.

The carrier code You can enter a carrier code (optional). For example: If you have chosen the carrier "Colissimo", you could use the abbreviation "COL".

The standard delivery time. Enter the estimated delivery time for this new carrier. This is expressed in days. For example: For the delivery of a Colissimo, you can enter the value "2" in the field provided for this purpose (48H for the delivery of a Colissimo in Metropolitan France, Monaco and Intra-Overseas territories).

The tracking URL Please note: the tracking URL for carriers is now retrieved dynamically. Any changes in the configuration are automatically applied to all tracking numbers.

The tax rule (1) The selected tax rule will define the VAT rate applied to shipping costs. It must have been created beforehand. For more details and information on tax rules, click on the following link. Once your tax rule has been created, you can select it by expanding the "Tax rule" menu (the mention "No tax" being entered by default).

Define the tax rule (2): In our example: the tax rule in force for Colissimo (La Poste) is the tax corresponding to the standard rate in France (20%).

Manage shipping costs (1): You can then define shipping costs by entering either:

• an amount excluding tax (excl. VAT),
• an amount including all taxes (incl. VAT)

Simply select the option that suits you before entering the desired amount.

The image You can add an image or a logo to identify the carrier more quickly. To do so, click on the "... Edit image" button and import the image of your choice.

Activate the carrier so that it can be selected.

Finish by saving: To finalize the creation of your carrier, click "Save" at the bottom right of the window.

Once back on the "Delivery and carrier" interface, you will find the "Home delivery configuration" button. Following the creation of your carrier, you will be able to configure the postal codes for future deliveries. 2 lists of postal codes can be defined:

• "Whitelisted" postal codes: those authorized for home delivery;
• and conversely, "blacklisted" postal codes: those not eligible for home delivery.

You can type postal codes directly into the field provided for this purpose, then select them by clicking in the list appearing just below. Remember to "Save" once finished. You can perform the same operation for "Blacklisted" postal codes. A confirmation message will appear at the top right of your screen when your configuration has been successfully taken into account after saving.

Whitelist / blacklist countries You can also whitelist or blacklist lists of countries, so that your customers are not allowed to create addresses in unauthorized countries. This feature controls addresses at the time of their creation, and creating a whitelist / blacklist will have no effect on already created addresses. A customer who has created an address in a blacklisted country before this configuration was put in place will therefore still be able to validate a rental.
