Create a date-to-date rental offer
You have created a product that you want to make available for rental. To do this, you need to create an offer. Here is how to create a date-to-date rental offer. This type of offer means that the rental has a start date and an end date, and that it is paid in full, in one payment, at the start of the rental or upon handover of the product.
Go to the Catalogue - Products menu Click on the name of the product for which you want to create an offer. Click on the "Edit this product" button at the bottom of the "Product information" block
Click on the "Offers" tab In the Date-to-date rental offer section, Click on "Create a new offer". If you wish to define different pricing by point-of-sale groups, find more information in this article. Define the tax rule that will apply to this offer.
Define the rental price of your product. You can choose to enter the price inclusive of tax or excluding tax. To do so, select the corresponding option: incl. tax or excl. tax. Flat rate: Means that the rental will be charged at the "rental price" you have just defined, regardless of its duration. Price per period: This option allows you to charge the rental price based on the duration of the rental. This price can be charged per hour, per day, per week or per month. This can serve as a base price in the case of a rental extension. See article.
Price model: This option allows you to select a price model that was created beforehand. If you select this option, then select the price model to apply from the dropdown list. The dedicated article on price models is here. This can serve as a base price in the case of a rental extension. See article. If applicable, create your specific prices After defining the rental price of your offer, you can define specific prices, which can be based on: • The customer's age (for this, you will need to have configured a customer Qualification form in which you collect the age of the person using the rented product) • The duration of the rental (for this, you will need to have selected the "Flat rate" pricing mode beforehand) Click on "Create specific prices":
Pricing based on the customer's age
If you want to define specific prices based on the customer's age, you must collect your customer's age via a customer Qualification form. In the dropdown list, indicate that the price is based on "Customer age", then for each different age bracket, enter the specific value and the specific price. In our example, we have: • Specific price for customers aged 0 to 9 (0-9): €10 • Specific price for customers aged 10 to 15 (10-15): €12 • Specific price for customers over 16 (>16): €15 • Note that we are missing a specific price for the age "16", it should have been included in the 10-16 bracket or indicated as >15 instead of >16. If you are configuring the offer for a product bundle, remember to also apply specific prices per product in the composition of your bundle ("Bundle" tab).
Pricing based on rental duration - starting point "Flat rate" ¡ Updated 02/05/2025
If you want to define specific prices based on the duration of the rental, the way specific prices work differs depending on whether you have first set your date-to-date offer on a flat rate or on a price per period. If your date-to-date offer is based on a "Flat rate": the specific prices defined will be applied as-is. For example, if you define the following: • The flat rate of your date-to-date offer = €10 → This is the base rate that will be displayed on the front-end to highlight the rental offer for your product.
• The following specific prices: • 1 day = €10 → the customer will pay €10 for one day of rental • 2 days = €18 → the customer will pay €18 for 2 days of rental • 3 days = €25 → the customer will pay €25 for 3 days of rental • 4 to 7 days = €30 → the customer will pay €30 for 4, 5, 6 or 7 days of rental • If the rental duration is 8 days, the flat rate will apply (i.e. €10 in our example). Make sure to configure all possible cases, and/or to limit the possible rental duration.
Pricing based on rental duration - starting point "Price per period" ¡ Updated 02/05/2025
If your date-to-date offer is based on a "Price per period": the specific prices defined also apply per period (currently, the only available period being "day", your specific prices therefore apply per day). For example, if you define the following: • The price per period of your date-to-date offer = €10 / day → This is the base rate that will be displayed on the front-end to highlight the rental offer for your product. • The following specific prices (note, our example is not realistic): • 2 days = €5 → the customer will pay 2x€5, i.e. €10 for 2 days of rental • 3 days = €4 → the customer will pay 3x€4, i.e. €12 for 3 days of rental • 4 days = €3 → the customer will pay 4x€3, i.e. €12 for 4 days of rental • 5 to 999 days = €2 → for 5 days for example, the customer will pay 5x€2, i.e. €10; for 10 days, the customer will pay 10x€2, i.e. €20; for 999 days, the customer will pay 999x€2, i.e. €1,998... • If the rental duration is 1,000 days, the price per period x1,000 will be applied, i.e. a total price of €10,000 for one thousand days. Make sure to configure all possible cases, and/or to limit the possible rental duration.
Specific prices with a price model
If the date-to-date offer is based on a price model, your specific prices will need to be defined via price models as well. You can therefore create a different price model per age bracket. It is possible to apply a price by point-of-sale group If no group is selected, the price will apply to all groups. Add pricing by group It is possible to limit the rental period.

The price of this offer will be highlighted on the category page, and this offer will be pre-selected when the customer arrives on the product page in the front-end.
