The Web Application

Your platform offers a web application (or "web app"); a condensed view presenting the main features in a simplified way. It can be used via desktop and/or mobile.

To access the web app, click on the "Mobile" icon next to the point of sale selection field OR on the logo located on the left: The web application interface. Once in the application, the navigation bar remains clickable. You will then be able to find the following 6 features: • New rental, • Rental management, • Calendar, • Reception of new products, • Stock consultation, • And Scan a product. To present these features, we will switch to the next step in responsive view, as the purpose of this web application is to be used mainly from a mobile phone or tablet.

1° The "New Rental" feature. Quick rental by item is offered by default, if you have enabled it. This feature is explained in this article. To perform a standard rental, simply click on "Standard rental by product". Create a new rental in 6 concise steps: Specify the product category.

You can, if needed, perform a search by SKU or by name. Then select the desired product. Then click on "Confirm selection". A pop-in opens informing you of any possible deposit cost as an additional charge. Select the rental type if there are several, check the complementary products you wish to add to the cart, then continue with "Choose the rental period". Define your rental period: desired start and end dates. Then click on "Add to cart".

The "Cart" screen summarises all previously entered information. You can then "Add another product" to your cart; continue by selecting "Continue"; or "Empty the cart" if you wish to cancel the creation of the current rental. Once your cart is empty, you will be redirected to step 1: defining the category of the rental product. Search for the customer using their name or email address. Choose the desired customer profile, then continue by clicking the "Continue with this customer" button. Choose your collection method: home delivery or in-store pickup. Remember to "confirm" once your choice is made.

Rental payment: A complete rental summary is displayed on screen: • The customer's identity, • the description of the rental product, • the defined period, • as well as the collection method.

Finalise the rental by clicking on "Pay for the order", then select the payment method. Then click on "Confirm". Once you reach this screen, your rental has been successfully created! Several rental management options will be available to you at the bottom of the page, which we will cover shortly after.

2° The "Rental Management" feature. Search for a rental. You can search for a rental by refining your search using one of the criteria available in the drop-down menu: • Last name / First name • Email • Rental number • Serial number

Select a rental. Click on the white box of the rental you wish to manage. Manage a rental. Scroll through the rental summary page to manage it. Several options are available to you, in the form of buttons: • Hand over the rental product, • extend the rental period, • cancel the reservation, • or create a new rental. These first 3 buttons are associated with a rental in "Confirmed" status. For more information: You will find the full list of action buttons in the related article. The article on rental statuses can be found here.

3° The "Calendar" feature. The "Calendar" allows you to manage, by point of sale, all rentals (ongoing, disputes, returns, confirmed...). The calendar feature is explained in detail in this tutorial. Once in the calendar, you will need to select the point of sale in order to see the rentals displayed. The point of sale rentals will be displayed (by month, week or day).

Click on one of the rentals to see the details.

4° The "Reception of New Products" feature. Product reception. You will be able to manually manage stock additions from this interface, in 3 steps: • You will first need to choose the relevant point of sale from the first drop-down menu; • search for and select the product in the second; • then enter the desired quantity to add.

Then confirm your information. A notification appears in the top right of your screen when the stock addition has been successfully processed.

5° The "Stock Consultation" feature. "Stock Consultation" is explained in this tutorial.

6° The "Scan a Product" feature. The product scanner opens. • If your barcode is unreadable or your scanner is not working, you can enter the serial number manually in the field above the scanner, then click the magnifying glass to launch the search. • If you wish to change the camera being used, for example to switch from the rear camera to the front camera on your phone, or to use a lens that allows better zoom, - select your camera from the drop-down list. • If you use the scanner, your barcode will be scanned by the reader and the search will launch automatically.

  1. a. When the serial number does not exist. The pop-in indicates that no item exists matching this serial number.

  2. b. When the serial number belongs to an item that is not currently being rented. You have the option to change the item's status. Click on "Yes". An item status change pop-in is displayed. Select the new status then click on "Change status".

  3. c. When the serial number belongs to an item currently being rented. The pop-in displays the details of the ongoing rental. You can manage this rental by clicking on the arrow ¼ at the end of the rental number line. You can then proceed with the return of your rental under the usual conditions.
