Downloading Personal Data

Configure the validity period of the personal data download link Go to the Settings > General Configuration menu > GDPR Block Here you can configure the validity period of the personal data download link. When a customer submits a request to download their personal data, a download link is sent to them by email. You can define the validity period of this link (a maximum duration of 24 hours is recommended). Configure the processing delay for a data export request When a customer submits a request to download their personal data from their customer account, an email is sent to them. You can define the number of days after which this email will be sent to them.

Edit the "Privacy" informational text that will be displayed to your customers on the front-end This text will be displayed on the front-end in the "Privacy" tab of the customer account, and will allow your customers to learn about the terms of processing and downloading of their personal data. Don't forget to Save by clicking the button at the bottom of the GDPR block Verify that the scheduled task "Generates the GDPR customer data export and sends a download link by email" is active If it is not active, activate it. Otherwise your customers will not receive their personal data exports.

Chapter 1 - Manual request to download personal data from the BO If a customer directly asks you for their personal data, without going through their customer account, you have the option to send them a download link by clicking on the "Download personal data" button from their customer record in the back-office. An alert notifies you after clicking the button that the download link has been sent by email (to the customer) Chapter 2 - Automatic sending of personal data to your customers following their request on the front-end On the front-end, in their customer account under the "Privacy" tab, your customer has the option to request the sending of a download link for their personal data themselves, by clicking the "Submit my request" button.

Once the request has been submitted, a confirmation alert is displayed in place of the button As long as the request has not been processed, this alert will be displayed on the customer account, in place of the button.
