Promo codes on Rental

You have the ability to create promo codes in your back office in order to offer your customers discounts on the amount of their rental. Go to the Catalogue > Promo Codes menu. Here you will find the list of all your existing promo codes. You can filter the listing based on their status: Enabled or Disabled. You can also search for a promo code by its code in the "Search" field. And sort your promo codes in ascending or descending order on each column of the list. To create a new promo code, click the "Create a promo code" button at the top right of the listing.

Enter the code for your promotion in the "Code" field. This is the code you will need to communicate to your sales staff or to your customers so they can use it when subscribing a new rental in the back or front end. Please note: each promo code must have a Please note: each promo code must have a unique name. If two promo codes have the same name, only the first one created in the list will be usable. Enter the available quantity for this code (the number of times it can be used). As the code is used, you will be able to see the quantity already used increase here.

You can restrict the use of the code to a specific customer. To do so, enter in the Email field the email address of the relevant customer account. Leave empty if you do not wish to restrict the use to a single user. Please note: you can only restrict usage to one customer at a time. If you wish to create a code and restrict its use to multiple customer accounts, create as many different promo codes as there are customer accounts concerned. You can restrict the use of the code to the rental of a specific product. To do so, check the "Restriction on a product" button. Search for the product name and select it from the dropdown menu that appears. Please note: you can only restrict usage to one product at a time. If you wish to create a code and restrict its use to multiple different products, create as many promo codes as there are products concerned.

Please note: a promo code on a category will only be valid for a product if the main category of the product is the one selected in the promo code configuration. Then search for the category and select it from the dropdown menu that appears. Please note: you can only restrict usage to one category at a time. If you wish to create a code and restrict its use to multiple different categories, create as many different promo codes as there are categories concerned. Select the type of discount to apply: Percentage OR Amount to deduct from the cart total. Please note: you cannot configure a 100% cart discount. The promo code would not be applied in the cart. The promotion will apply to the payment to which it is applied. For a subscription, the discount will therefore not apply to subsequent monthly payments, but only to the initial payment. If you choose an Amount discount, it will be applied automatically including tax (VAT).

In general, discounts generated by your promo codes will be applied to the total VAT-inclusive cart amount. For VAT calculation (where applicable), the discount will be distributed proportionally to the total VAT-inclusive amount of each rental product, complementary products, and delivery fees making up the cart. Finally, activate the newly created promo code so that it can be used. Don't forget to Save your configuration. You can then find your promo code in the list at any time and click on its name to view or edit its configuration.

Adding the promo code in the front end on the cart summary page: the customer must enter the promo code in the promo code field at the bottom of the cart summary. Please note: the customer can only use one promo code per cart. Application of the promo code to the cart total. The customer also has the option to add the promo code during the steps of the checkout funnel.

They can also remove the application of the promo code at any time by clicking the "remove" button. In the back office, at the last "payment" step, you will also find a dropdown menu allowing you to select a promo code to apply to the cart. The promo code used is displayed in the rental record in the back end where applicable.

It is also displayed on the customer's invoice.
