Pricing models
Pricing models are pricing "templates" for renting your products. Pricing models will save you time when creating your offers. You can define a base price for the rental offer, then apply a pricing model that will determine a cost based on the rental duration. Available with PRO and EXPERT offers
To create a new pricing model: Go to the Catalogue - Pricing menu. Click on "New pricing model". Model name, price unit and calculation base: Name the created model so you can easily identify it later. Select the model unit; your prices will be defined by: hour, day or month. Choose a calculation base that will allow you to visualize the result of applying your pricing model.
Create a first line in the pricing model. Assign a label to the line, then a duration, and the multiplier to apply to the rental cost for the defined duration. You can visualize the cost for the selected duration and chosen calculation base. Here we have entered a calculation base of €10. Then we entered a duration of 1 day and a multiplier of 1. The rental cost for 1 day would therefore be €10. You can then add as many lines as necessary to complete your model.
Define a multiplier for each additional period. This section determines the pricing rule if the customer exceeds the periods entered above. If you do not want a degressive price for additional periods, enter 1 in the field to maintain your base daily price. If you wish to offer additional periods for free, enter 0 in the field. Don't forget to save your pricing model. This can be used as a price base in the case of a rental extension. see article.
Here is an example set up for the rental of a wedding dress. For this product we created an offer for which the rental price is €99. We then applied the pricing model below. Here is the resulting pricing: Renting the wedding dress for 1 day would cost €99. Renting the wedding dress for 2 days would cost €198 (99+99). For each additional period we set a multiplier of 1.1. So for 3 days the rental cost would be €306.90 (99+99+108.90). And for 4 days: €415.80 (99+99+108.90+108.90).
