General email settings

Go to the Administration menu - Emails.

Three tabs are available, select the "Configuration" tab. The first block here concerns the general email settings.

• Sender name: the sender name displayed on your emails to your customers. In the example below, the sender of emails sent to customers will appear as "rental generic". Please note: this field is mandatory — without it, your emails will not be sent.
• Sender email: the email address associated with the sender name. Note: if the SMTP requires a specific sender email (see step 4), it must be entered here.
• CC email: fill in this field if you want a copy of each sent email to be received at a specific address as a blind carbon copy.
• Email redirection: if you want to test the sending of your emails or check their appearance, fill in this field so that all emails are automatically redirected to the specified address. It is possible to redirect emails to multiple addresses; in that case, make sure to separate them with a comma only.
• SMTP KO alert Webhook: if you want to receive an alert in the event that your SMTP configuration is no longer functional, enter the URL of the Slack webhook that will receive the notification. Please note, this webhook only works with Slack. This tutorial will show you how to use webhooks on Slack.
• Send a test email: this function allows you to test the SFTP connection. Fill in this field with the address to which you want to send the test email, and click the send button.

The second block is dedicated to the SMTP configuration. Our solution provides you with a test SMTP for which ZIQY assumes no responsibility. Remember to configure your own SMTP to ensure good email deliverability and to track your sends.

Enter the following information:

• Mailer
• Host
• Port
• Username
• Password
• Encryption

You will find all this information in your SMTP provider's interface. If they require you to specify it in order to provide more details, you must specify the "Laravel" type configuration. If you cannot find the required information, please contact your SMTP provider's support team. Note: if the SMTP requires a specific sender email, the same one must be entered in the email configuration (see step 3).

Don't forget to save the information entered for each configuration block.
