Edit your front-end texts

Apart from the texts present in components, which can be edited in the builder, most of your front-end texts can be modified from the translations settings.

To edit these texts, go to the Settings - Languages menu. Then click on the "Translations" tab. On this page, you have access to all the translation keys for your front-end. The "translation key" is the code name given to a text used at a specific location on your site. To edit your texts, you must do so in the "content" column. You can edit the content of a translation key for each active language on your platform. To do so, select the desired language from the drop-down list.

To find the text you wish to edit, enter it in the search field. To edit it, click on it in the Content column, and replace it with the new text. Don't forget to click the "Save" button for your change to be applied. A notification stating "Traduction mise à jour" confirms that your change has been successfully applied.

To edit all translations quickly, use the translation import feature. The translation import feature allows you to edit multiple translations at the same time. This feature is particularly useful when your front-end is available in multiple languages.

Export a list of translation keys

First, choose the language you want to use as the basis for your translations (we recommend using French), then click the "Export" button. The platform will then export the list of existing front-end translations (in CSV or EXCEL format depending on your preference).

Prepare your front-end translations using the export file

The export file contains 4 columns (be careful not to delete any of them):

• Type: never edit this column
• Lang: this is the language of the translations to be imported/exported
• Key: never edit this column – this is the key associated with the translation
• Translation: this is the translation

To prepare your translations in other languages, copy these 4 columns and paste them into a new CSV or EXCEL file. Then edit the following 2 columns:

• Lang: in this column, replace the source language with the language you wish to translate into – enter the language in ISO format (fr, es, de, en, nl... find a list of ISO codes on this Wikipedia page)
• Translation: in this column, replace each translation with the one in your target language

Save your new file before importing your translations into the platform's back-office.

Import your new front-end translations

Once your translations file is complete and saved, click the "Import" button:

Select the file to import. The system analyses your file and indicates if there are any errors. Click the "Import" button once the verification of your file is complete.

Wait for the import to finish before leaving

The progress of your translations import is shown at the bottom of the screen. Wait for it to complete before closing the window.

Other front-end texts can be edited in the Settings - General Configuration menu. These are the informational texts that your customers can read in their customer account when they wish to download their personal data or delete their account.

Two other front-end texts can be edited in the Administration - Online Payment menu. These are the texts corresponding to the two checkboxes at the payment step, relating to the acceptance of the mandatory general terms and conditions of sale, and the acceptance of the privacy policy.

Finally, don't forget that for each product, specific content can be displayed on your front-end. Go to the "Additional information" tab on the product detail page to edit the content for each of them.
