Returning a product to a different point of sale than the pick-up location

Returning a product to a point of sale different from the pick-up location How to allow the return of a product to a point of sale different from the original pick-up point and transfer the stock of this product to the return point of sale.

Go to the item configuration in the Settings - Items menu. Enable the option allowing product returns to a different point of sale. Warning: this configuration is only available if you have chosen serial number uniqueness across the entire platform and not per point of sale (otherwise you could end up with 2 identical serial numbers at the same point of sale for 2 distinct items.) Don't forget to Save this new configuration. From the webapp, logged in on one of your points of sale, click on GESTION DES LOCATIONS. For this example we are on the point of sale: Click & Collect Nice, whose stock is linked to the "Entrepôt Paris" warehouse.

You will be able to search all rentals on your platform, without being restricted to the point of sale you are logged into. As an example here, you will be able to see all rentals on the platform and not just those of the Click Collect in Nice. Let's select a rental from the Paris store (Product: Banc de musculation - Item / Serial no.: sjdhgfjqh) Then click on "Retourner un produit" at the bottom of the rental record and follow the steps of the return procedure.

Once the return has been processed, the item is properly linked to the return point of sale. Warning: if the pick-up or return point of sale depends on the stock of a warehouse (for more information on this configuration see this article), the stock will be deducted / linked to that warehouse at the global level and not to the point of sale. In our example, the Click and Collect in Nice having its stock dependent on the Paris warehouse, we find the item (Serial no.: sjdhgfjqh) linked to the Paris warehouse. The overall stock of the Entrepôt Paris point of sale now has a stock of 1 product available for rental whereas it had none before.
